DollWorx Adapter System - Handbook
Handbooks and Usage instructions on the DollWorx Adapter System.
As is customary, first off thank you for buying our item(s).
We hope they will perform well for you and allow you to realize your goals.
To that extent, we would like to make some comments on handling that may provide helpful.
For those adapters that are screwed into a female DHWM thread( meaning into a head by DollHouse168, Hitdoll, OrientalRose, YourDollShop, WM, Z-Onedoll or into our HY-OI-DHWM, HY-DS-DHWM basic adapters), that is these:
* HY-DHWM-DS = DollHouse168/WM head to DollSweet body
* HY-DHWM-JMSH = DollHouse168/WM head to JoyModel or Sanhui bodies
we will provide a long nut that is usually meant for sturdy repairs such as in automotive works.
Please do not ever use this nut other then just to gently - by hand, not using anything connected to the nut - unscrew the adapter from the head again if you need to take it back out.
Screwing the adapter into the head should be done by hand only to get a good feel for hitting the thread and resistance.
Depending on the actual depth of the thread into the head the adapter may or may not go down/into it all the way, that is you may not end up with the 12-edge-star resting on the inner shell - especially so with the -DS adapter as that one needs to be a certain height to connect to the DS bodies neck post correctly.
If you prefer to have it resting you may want to add shims of size M16 or 5/8" when screwing it on.
Once again, you should just use your fingers/hand when screwing on, but if you really feel the need to use the provided nut for the last bit do NOT give it any strong 1/8 extra turn or some such, just gently let it settle; this is especially true for the -DS adapter, as that one has thin walls due to the dolls measurement requirements and may break under force.
Note that the adapters are made from pretty strong plastic, but its still plastic, not steel or the like.
While this means a limited life if not being careful it also means that - apart from bad welding spots - it should usually be the adapter that gives in any given situation rather than the much more expensive and harder to replace head or neck sections.
FYI - if you feel the need to re-thread your dolls head( DHWM) the correct tap to use is M16/M16x2( not M16x1,5 or M16x1) it is metric; do NOT use 5/8" UNC or UNF or you will ruin the thread.
With all this said, we advise you to do a little more the FIRST time BEFORE you screw an adapter in.
From what we have seen, the thread inside the head may very well be sharp, dirty and have a jagged edge that may hurt you when not being careful.
So we encourage you to examine and if neccessary clean the area as best you can.
To some lesser extent this is true for neck bolts/posts as well - it may make sense to clean them from grime, oil & dirt.
For the U.S.A. we will give a 30 day warranty with your choice of either:
a) your money back unconditionally, or
b) having the item(s) in question replaced once but waiving further compensation if you provide pictures of the broken item(s).
Thank you for your attention and we hope you will be satisfied.
